I love this product October 7, 2009 D. Doxey (San Diego, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a frequent Netflix user. Most of the disks are too scratchy to play freely. This disk polishing unit works awesome and is not burdened with procedural ceremony and nuances of technique. You just squirt some water on the disk, and pop it in for a round of noise. Repeat as needed.
Used this product several times a week for a year before the polishing wheel needed replacement.
It works, it really works! May 14, 2010 Walter J. Ford (Stony Point, New York) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product has gotten me out of tight spots several times. It has restored valuable DVDs I could not re-render from original DV tapes. I ordered extra supplies and accessories for it. I highly recommend it.
Works great June 28, 2010 maya's mama (USA) I love my Skip DR! I check out a lot of audio books from the library and they are very scratched and usually very dirty so my Skip Dr has been a great investment for me. After using each wheel the recommended 50 times, I used just about all of the rejuvenating fluid that comes with each refill kit so I dont understand previous reviews that say they dont use or want it. I lightly spritz each CD 2 or 3 times and in my opinion, the amount of fluid with the kit is exactly the right amount. I'm on my 3rd refill kit and I've been extremely pleased.
accessory kit for Skip Dr. July 26, 2010 David A. Fernald (Farmington, CT USA) When I was at my grandsom's house, I saw many disc's that were not clean. I purchased a Skip Dr cleaning kit plus this accessory kit so that they could clean all their discs. These items work very well. I have the Skip Dr myyself for my son.
Price is affordable with Amazon Prime free shipping April 15, 2009 Supermotherof10 (WY) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I agree with the previous reviews that this product is much too expensive and that the wheels should be packaged seperately. Unfortunately, I was not able to locate a cheaper alternative that did not end up costing me more when I added in the shipping. I guess if you have Amazon Prime (as I do) then this is the best option. Since one wheel fixes up to 50 disks and the cost of replacing those disks would be so much more than the $12.99 this replacement kit costs, I guess the price is worth it.
A note to Digital Innovations... I think most buyers would expect to get 3 wheels for $9.99, not 1 for 12.99!
By the way: The fluid is not some magic ingredient either, it's water and rubbing alcohol! I lost the cloth (and therefore never use it) and my disks always work fine after repair.
