I purchased this printer on January 3 from Amazon.com. I have had over 20 Lexmark printers in the past and havent had any problem with any of them. However, when I hooked this one up it wouldnt print. I called Lexmark Tech and they were on the phone with me for about an hour trying to get it to print but they were unable to help me. True to their word though they shipped me a new printer overnight and I got it the next day. They even sent me the postage to mail the defective on back. I hooked up the new one and it works perfectly. Thanks Amazon for a great price and thanks Lexmark for wonderful Tech support.

When I first attempted to set up the printer I spent 2 1/2 hours and still couldn't get it to work. I'm not a computer/ electronics whiz by any means but I have set up 8-9 printers over the years and usually don't have problems. Finally called tech support and spent well over an hour working with her to no avail, she set up an appt. to call me back after the weekend because she needed to look up some info. and find the correct firmware. When she called back we spent another hour trying different things before she gave up and said there was a problem with the printer itself. She said they would send me a replacement in 3-5 days. New printer arrived in 2 days.. amazing especially since I'm in Alaska. It only took me about 45 minutes and I had the new printer unpacked, assembled and working wirelessly with both of my computers.
I love that this printer uses inexpensive black ink for everyday printing. I love that it is wireless and I love that it has a five year warranty!
I was able to speak to tech support without a long wait (my only complaint would be that Lexmark outsources these jobs, the support person I spoke with was in the Philippines and her english was sometimes difficult to understand). I would be willing to pay more for a printer if tech support jobs were in the U.S.A.
So all in all even though the initial experience was frustrating I am very happy with the product and the company.

This is the best little investment I've made! No Problems, easy setup for wireless. Prints in seconds, color looks great! I'm soo impressed. This is the first Lexmark printer I've owned and I'm so glad I took the leap and tried another brand. I'm speechless, actually...

I have used HP printers, scanners, and copiers at work and home for years. My wife needed another printer for her work. She had an HP, but we had quite a few problems with it, so I decided to look harder. I looked at Canon, HP, Brothers, and Lexmark. After reading the reviews and ratings, I decided to go with this Lexmark Pro805. Never had a Lexmark. Well, I am impressed! It is easy to use and set up, Touch screen is very convenient, prints very fast compared to last printer, just a very solid, sharp, great value printer/scanner/copier. We love it!

This has got to be the 20th printer I've bought or used in my 30 yrs in business and this one is the most impressive.
The setup and wireless worked smoothly as did all of the other setups. I just went through more than a 1000 pages of tax forms on eco mode and the black ink cartridge they provided is just running out. WOW! $4.95 less $3.00 return means cost per page of less than a 2/10ths of a penny a page.....
The OCR software so far has worked excellent and scanning into word or copying into pdf, email, are valuable pluses. Color photos are very good and I'm impressed by the color and low cost of replacement cartridges.
The Good: Wireless, very economical black ink!, scanning, copying and touch LCD.
The Fair: Copying somewhat slow - nothing else so far.
The Bad: You have to take out paper to feed envelopes.
I would Highly Recommend this for any personal or small business user.
